In
mid 1930’s few people from south central Travancore Roman Catholic
Christian Community migrated to this land of scenic beauty .The first
Roman Catholic Church Fathima matha church is completed in 1950’s .Then
the Fathima School started .In 1967 the Kuttiadi irrigation project
started as an extension of the Hydroelectric project. Now
Peruvannamuzhi is a beautiful picnic spot which offers a variety of
choices to the travallers.This village like any other village in kerala
has very efficient and industrious people with a literacy rate of
100%.Every day more than 500 people are visiting this beautiful land.
There are around 50 families here and a few are well known family
groups. People from all religions and caste living here with great
harmony and tolerance.
